MSI Unveils EZ DIY PC Building Ecosystem at CES 2026

MSI has unveiled a sweeping lineup of next-generation PC hardware at CES 2026, reinforcing its commitment to making system building, upgrading, and customization more accessible for enthusiasts and professionals alike. The new portfolio spans motherboards, power supplies, cooling solutions, PC chassis, and creator tools, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and MSI’s expanding EZ DIY design philosophy.

The showcase highlights MSI’s push to remove complexity from high-end PC building while introducing bold industrial design and advanced technologies aimed at gamers, creators, and overclocking enthusiasts.

New AMD MAX Series Motherboards Take Center Stage
At the core of MSI’s CES announcements is the introduction of its AMD X870(E) and B850 MAX series motherboards, engineered to deliver higher performance with simplified tuning. Each MAX board features MSI’s integrated OC Engine, enabling asynchronous BCLK control for precise frequency adjustments and delivering up to 15 percent higher gaming performance in supported scenarios.

To make overclocking more accessible, MSI has added a Direct OC Jumper for real-time BCLK adjustment within the operating system, along with a one-click BCLK Booster for instant performance gains. All MAX models are also equipped with an upgraded 64MB BIOS ROM, ensuring expanded compatibility with current and future AMD processors.

MEG X870E UNIFY-X MAX Targets Extreme Overclockers

Designed specifically for record-breaking performance, the MEG X870E UNIFY-X MAX stands as MSI’s flagship overclocking motherboard. Its 2-DIMM layout is optimized for maximum CPU and DDR5 memory frequencies, supported by an advanced thermal solution featuring a Direct Touch Cross Heat-pipe, high-conductivity thermal pads, and a double-sided EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II.

An exclusive Tuning Controller gives users instant physical control over overclocking functions, including CMOS clearing, fail-safe booting, and profile restoration, underscoring MSI’s focus on hands-on performance tuning.

MAG B850 MAX Series Expands Mainstream Options

For mainstream builders, MSI introduced the MAG B850 MAX lineup, including the MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI II, MAG B850M MORTAR MAX WIFI, and the new all-white MAG B850 GAMING PLUS MAX WIFI. These boards combine refreshed aesthetics with robust power delivery, Wi-Fi 7, and 5G LAN support.

EZ DIY features play a central role, with one-click GPU removal via EZ PCIe Release, tool-free SSD installation using EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II and EZ M.2 Clip II, and a simplified EZ Antenna design. MSI positions the B850 MAX series as a balance of performance, reliability, and value for modern gaming builds.

Intel Platform Breakthrough with 4-Rank CQDIMM Memory

MSI is also showcasing a major breakthrough on the Intel platform, becoming the first to demonstrate 4-Rank CQDIMM memory support on a motherboard. The technology enables up to 128GB per memory stick, delivering a total capacity of 256GB on a 2-DIMM configuration.

Validated on an MSI Intel prototype motherboard, the setup has passed stable testing at frequencies exceeding 10,000 MT/s, while a live CES demo shows a 63 percent overclocked performance improvement using 256GB CQDIMM memory modules. The advancement targets professional workloads and extreme overclocking without sacrificing stability.

GPU Safeguard+ Redefines Power Supply Protection

Power delivery and safety take a major step forward with MSI’s new high-reliability power supplies featuring GPU Safeguard+ technology. Designed to protect next-generation graphics cards, the system provides real-time monitoring of the 12V-2×6 connector, issuing instant warnings through MSI Center and audible alerts if abnormal current behavior is detected.

This proactive approach allows users to address power issues before permanent hardware damage occurs.

New MPG and MAG Power Supplies Debut

Leading the PSU lineup is the MPG Ai1600TS PCIE5, offering Titanium-level efficiency, enhanced +12V power stability, dual native 12V-2×6 connectors, and 100 percent Japanese 105°C-rated capacitors. Paired with high-performance SiC MOSFETs and an optimized acoustic profile, the unit delivers quiet operation even under heavy loads.

MSI also introduced the MAG A1200PLS PCIE5 and A1000PLS PCIE5, Platinum-rated power supplies built for durability and silent performance. Both models include GPU Safeguard protection, Fan Safeguard monitoring, and audible alerts for abnormal power or fan conditions.

MEG MAESTRO 900R Chassis and Next-Gen Cooling Solutions

The MEG MAESTRO 900R flagship chassis made its debut as a panoramic showcase design featuring triple-sided glass. Built for extreme configurations, it supports advanced custom water-cooling, dual GPUs, and includes an EZ Rotatable Motherboard Tray to simplify complex builds.

Cooling innovations continue with the MEG CORELIQUID E15 360, featuring a striking 6.67-inch curved 2K OLED display with immersive visuals and system monitoring. A thicker radiator, TriFlow Reversal fans, and simplified EZ Conn installation aim to deliver improved thermal performance and cleaner builds.

MSI also introduced the MPG COREFROZR AP15 and AP17 dual-tower air coolers. The AP15 features a Digi Display for real-time monitoring and is optimized for AMD X3D processors, while the flagship AP17 adds a large customizable LCD and enhanced heat pipe configuration for top-tier air cooling.

DigiME Brings VTubing to a Wider Audience

Rounding out the CES showcase is DigiME, MSI’s ready-to-use VTuber software platform. Designed for creators with zero additional hardware requirements, DigiME offers customizable avatars, multi-language support, Voicemod integration, and compatibility with Ready Player Me and VRoid files.

An AI-powered voice assistant named MIA acts as both a product expert and creative companion, providing real-time guidance and enabling seamless global interaction for streamers and virtual creators.
