Cohesity Appoints Hassan Aoun to Lead Channel Growth Across International Emerging Region

Cohesity, an AI-powered data security company, has appointed Hassan Aoun as Senior Channel Director for the International Emerging Region, strengthening its commitment to partner-led growth across high-potential markets.

In his new position, Aoun will oversee the transformation of Cohesity’s channel business across the region, with responsibility for expanding partner-led customer acquisition, growing the company’s cybersecurity ecosystem, developing channel teams and creating scalable frameworks to support long-term growth.

The appointment comes as organisations across emerging markets continue to strengthen cyber resilience strategies amid rising cyber threats and increasing demand for secure data protection across hybrid and cloud environments. Cohesity said its continued investment in its partner ecosystem reflects the growing role channel partners play in helping customers modernise data security, improve cyber recovery and adopt AI technologies securely.

Johnny Karam, Managing Director, International Emerging Region at Cohesity, said: “Our partners are at the centre of Cohesity’s growth strategy across the International Emerging Region, and investing in world-class channel leadership is critical as we continue to scale our business. Hassan brings an exceptional combination of strategic vision, commercial leadership and deep experience building high-performing partner ecosystems across diverse markets. His proven ability to accelerate partner-led growth and develop scalable go-to-market models will be instrumental as we expand our cybersecurity ecosystem, strengthen partner engagement and help more organisations build cyber resilience.”

Aoun joins Cohesity with more than 23 years of experience in channel development and commercial leadership. Before joining the company, he spent nearly a decade at Autodesk, where he held several senior leadership roles, including Regional Channel Manager, Head of Africa Territory Sales and Global Ecosystem Expansion Lead. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Sandvine, Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems and Microsoft, managing partner programmes and go-to-market initiatives across the Middle East, Africa, CIS and other international markets.

Commenting on his appointment, Hassan Aoun, Senior Channel Director, International Emerging Region at Cohesity, said: “I’m excited to join Cohesity at such a pivotal time for the business and the industry. Organisations across emerging markets are placing greater emphasis on cyber resilience and data security, creating significant opportunities for partners to deliver greater value to customers. I look forward to working closely with our partner ecosystem to accelerate growth, strengthen collaboration, and help organisations protect their most critical asset—their data.”

Cohesity said Aoun’s experience in ecosystem development and channel strategy will support the company’s partner-first approach while helping customers enhance cyber resilience and enabling partners to capture new business opportunities across the region.
