HP has announced the EliteBook X G2 Series at CES 2026, expanding its premium business laptop lineup with systems designed to support AI-enabled workloads, enterprise security, and mobile work. The series was also named a CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree.
The EliteBook X G2 Series is positioned within HP’s broader EliteBook portfolio and reflects growing demand for AI-capable PCs as workplace expectations continue to rise. HP’s latest Work Relationship Index shows that 62 percent of desk-based workers report increased job expectations, while only 20 percent say they have a healthy relationship with work.
The new lineup marks the first time HP has offered AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm processor options on a single EliteBook platform. Configuration choices include AMD Ryzen AI, Intel Core Ultra Series 3, and Snapdragon X2 Elite processors, enabling organizations to select systems based on performance, power efficiency, and AI workload requirements.
Among the models announced, the EliteBook X G2q supports up to 85 TOPS of NPU performance, while the EliteBook X G2i offers up to 50 NPU TOPS and up to 180 platform TOPS for graphics-intensive tasks. The EliteBook X G2a provides up to 55 NPU TOPS and is powered by AMD Ryzen AI processors. HP also introduced the EliteBook X Flip G2i, a convertible device designed for flexible work scenarios.
Across the series, HP Smart Sense dynamically manages system performance and thermals, while HP Wolf Security for Business provides hardware-based security protections. The devices are designed for mobility, with select configurations weighing under one kilogram and offering all-day battery life and optional 3K Tandem OLED displays.
HP said the EliteBook X G2 Series was designed with serviceability in mind, featuring a top-mount design intended to reduce repair time and support device reuse and redeployment. The lineup is registered as EPEAT 2.0 Gold. The EliteBook X G2i and EliteBook X Flip G2i are expected to be available in February, while the EliteBook X G2a and G2q models are expected in the spring. Pricing will be announced closer to launch.
