ASUS has launched the Zenbook 14X OLED (UX3404), making it one of the world’s first premium OLED Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake laptops. The laptop packs in some premium design and build quality. The chassis of the laptop is made of aluminium alloy, and the lid design features the ASUS logo with elegant and simple lines, thus showcasing the ASUS monogram in refreshing new colours. While the laptop is being made available in Inkwell Gray and Sandstone Beige colours, the UAE market will get only the Sandstone Beige variant.
ASUS has also used plasma ceramic aluminium on the Sandstone Beige variant. According to ASUS, this has been done for increased wear resistance, corrosion protection, thermal management, hardness, and lifespan. The laptop weighs just 1.5 kg, with a side profile measuring just 16.9mm. You also get a 180° lay-flat hinge that lets you share on-screen content with others.
As soon as you open up the laptop’s lid, you come face-to-face with a 14.5-inch 2.8K display that offers a resolution of 2880-by-1800 pixels. You also get a refresh rate of 120Hz, support for 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, TÜV Rheinland Eye Care certification, and Pantone validation. There is also support for VESA DisplayHDR 600 True Black, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, and a response time of 0.2ms. According to ASUS, the display emits 70% less blue light than standard LCDs and has been protected by Corning Gorilla Glass NBT.
Under the hood, the laptop comes packed with up to Intel Core i9-13900H processor and up to Nvidia GeForce RTXTM 3050 graphics. It also supports 16GB of LPDDR5 memory, 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage, and is cooled by ASUS IceCool thermal technology. Regarding I/O ports, you get two Thunderbolt 4, a full-size HDMI 2.1 (TMDS), a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, and an audio combo jack.
ASUS has also thrown in WiFi Master Premium technology and WiFi 6E technology, which allow for ultrafast downloads, smooth streaming, greater range, and very stable network connections. On top of the display, you will find the ASUS AiSense Camera which offers an FHD resolution and it is also a 3DNR IR camera. The camera also comes with an ambient light sensor and colour sensor. It also supports facial recognition for Windows Hello unlock.
The audio on the UX3404 has been tuned by Harman Kardon, while it also supports Dolby Atmos. You also get a smart amplifier with ASUS Audio Booster technology and two-way AI noise cancellation for video calls.
